My flash memoir “Mugs” found a home at *82 Review

It took one year of tinkering and revision processes, at least 10 friends reading and pitching in feedback for multiple versions, plus five rejections before this story was finally accepted.

I am particularly attached to the flash form. What began as a poem almost one year ago is now Mugs. My second piece of published flash nonfiction.

*82 Review is a magazine I love reading because of its dedication to flash and poetry, and I am so honored “Mugs” has found its home here. The editor, Alisa Golden, was so kind and wonderfully specific with their suggested edits. I’m really proud of this piece and where the journey of revision has landed me: eager to explore flash even more.

Happy reading/ writing!
